♦ 2 smoked sausages (or 2 packs of cocktail smoked wieners)
♦ 1 cup brown sugar
♦ 1 cup ketchup
♦ 1 cup Kentucky bourbon whiskey
Optional add-ins: hot sauce, onion, mustard, worcester sauce, smoked or sweet paprika, etc.
In a large pan, cook the sausage in batches until browned on all sides. Once all the sausage is ready, combine all of the ingredients in the pan and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat, and allow to simmer for about 30 to 40 minutes. The sausages should look plump, and the sauce should be thickened.
Serve immediately with plenty of toothpicks and napkins!
